One Nine Elms project set for second largest concrete pour in the UK
The One Nine Elms site, located at the junction of Nine Elms Lane with Wandsworth, is set for the second largest concrete pour in UK history, second only to the Shard. The area for the concrete pour will be approximately 1,850sq meters, with the deepest section 4.7 meters deep, and will see 5100m3 concrete be poured into it later next month. Approximately 1400T of rebar/steel will also be used on the project, which is substantially more steel reinforcement than the Shard which was completed in July 2012.

O’Neill & Brennan’s Eoin Mageean named Logistics Manager of the month
O’Neill & Brennan’s Eoin Mageean, the Senior Logistics manager on the project, and his team, have played an integral part in the progress of the construction of One Nine Elms so far. Eoin and his teams hard work and achievements have not gone unnoticed as recently he was named Logistics Manager of the month as nominated by Bruce Veitch (Senior Contracts Manager).
Eoin has established himself as a valuable member of the Multiplex team, and his knowledge of the construction process has assisted both him and his team in being one step ahead of the daily/weekly processes and challenges on site.
This weekend’s concrete pour will prove a major milestone on the project and O’Neill & Brennan will be providing 16 traffic marshals both days and nights to assist with the vehicle movement during the 36hr concrete pour.
Keep up the great work Eoin and your team.
